The host of BBC Radio York’s breakfast show will be sacrificing his afternoon nap to talk to the journalists of the future, at Leeds Trinity University’s Journalism Week on Thursday.

Keen listeners may also recognise his voice from BBC Radio 3’s Live in Concert.

Leeds Trinity University’s Journalism Week is now in it’s sixth year and will run Monday to Thursday from February 24.

Once again the event will bring some of the most respected names from the journalism industry to talk to students and members of the public about their careers and current industry issues.

Russell Truran, 26, from Solihull is studying the postgraduate in Broadcast Journalism at Leeds Trinity and said:

“I lived in York for three years when I studied History at York University. I always used to listen to Adam on BBC Radio York so I’m looking forward to meeting him. I aspire to have a career in radio and it should be good to get his advice and hear how he made it.”

Adam’s lecture will take place on the final day of the event, on Thursday in room AG27 between 12:15pm and 1:15pm.

He has previously presented the afternoon and mid morning shows on BBC Radio York before progressing to the flagship breakfast show.
