BBC World Affairs reporter joins the line up for Journalism Week

BBC World Affairs correspondent Mike Wooldridge OBE is a prominent last minute addition to the Journalism Week line-up.
Over 40 years spent in Africa and Asia makes Mike one of the BBC’s most experienced international reporters.
He has covered events on the African continent ranging from civil wars in Sudan, Somalia and Angola to the 1985 drought in Ethiopia. In Europe, he covered General Franco’s death in 1975.
He is also interested in religion, leading to him being made Religious Affairs correspondent in 1990, reporting on the influence of religion in modern societies, focusing on conflict arising from religion.
Postgraduate journalist Lizzie Archer, 22, said: “I’m really looking forward to hearing Mike speak. After such an incredible career reporting from around the world he will have some amazing stories to tell.”
Mike joins the Leeds Trinity event in partnership with CAFOD, the official Catholic aid agency for England and Wales.
